Laurie Walmsley, founder, Align to Shine

Hello, I’m Laurie and I spent my twenties crafting compelling stories for business, NGOs, and government.

On my quest for meaningful impact, I realised that the solutions to our individual, community, and global challenges lie largely in education.

After burnout in the political world, I felt compelled to train in facilitation and storytelling for educators.

Along the way, I heard and heeded my calling: to empower education pioneers with the brand storytelling and marketing skills to fulfil the potential of their work.

Since pivoting from politics to empowering educators, I’ve provided marketing, branding, and copywriting support to educators such as Embercombe, the University of Exeter, and The Visionaries.

I’ve also designed and facilitated story-strategy workshops to form Transition Town Totnes’ latest 10-year vision.

Through Align to Shine, I empower clients using my experience, knowledge, and skills from:
